The Monticello/Wayne County Chamber of Commerce would
like to invite you to participate in
The Heart of Lake Cumberland SpringFest.
The event has been expanded from a two-day, to a three-day
event, but will continue to be held the 2nd weekend
in May. The SpringFest will be held Friday, May 9th
from 6pm-10pm EDT, Saturday, May 10th from 11am-11pm,
and Sunday, May 11th from 1pm-5pm.
Due to renovations being made in Downtown Monticello,
the event this year will be held at the Monticello/Wayne
County Memorial Park located on Michigan Ave.
Many activities are planned including live entertainment
which will contain a national music act, arts and craft
booths, unique and desirable foods, motorcycle poker
run, antique car and tractor show, KidZONE play area,
and much, much more!
If you are interested in participating as a vendor
during The Heart of Lake Cumberland SpringFest, please
refer to the rules on entry; sign the agreement, and
mail entry application along with payment immediately.
The application deadline will be April 30, 2008.

RULES ON ENTRY FOR VENDORS
FOR SAFETY PURPOSES, THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES WILL
BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. ANYONE NOT COMPLYING WITH THESE
GUIDELINES WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY FROM THE EVENT
AREA. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON.
EVENT DATE/TIME

EVENT LOCATION
o Monticello/Wayne County Memorial Park

APPLICATION PROCESS:
o All vendor applications will be subject for approval
by the event committee.
o We will contact you within two days of receiving your
application if it is not approved. Upon disapproval
of your application, we will refund your booth space
fees. Otherwise, there will be no refunds for any reason.
o Vendor applications must list, in detail, all items
to be displayed and/or sold at your booth.
o You must submit your vendor application, acceptance
form, and payment to be placed on the vendor map.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
o April 30, 2008
o Upon availability, booth space after April 30 will
require a $100 late fee.
VENDOR BOOTH SET UP
o All vendors are expected to set up before show hours
and remain open until closing time.
o Booth set-up will begin Friday, May 9th, at 9am EDT.
All vendors must have their vehicles removed from the
event area by 5:15pm. There will be a designated area
for vendor parking. Vendor vehicles are expected to
remain parked in the designated area until the conclusion
of the event each evening. If for any emergency reason
you must leave in your vehicle during the event, you
are required to request assistance from the EVENT STAFF
for escort service.
o Security will be hired during event closings, both
Friday and Saturday nights. (Booths may remain in place
during these times.)
o Booth set up for Saturday will begin at 8am, and set
up for Sunday at 10am.
o Vendors are responsible for their own booth area and
must provide a legible sign with their business or organizations’
name. This sign must be placed in an area that will
be seen by any spectator that visits the booth area.
If you are an individual vendor you must have your name
posted in the same manner.
o It is the duty of the vendor to supply their own tables,
chairs, canopy tents, extension cords, etc.
o Each vendor is expected to keep their booth space
clean and clear of clutter. We suggest that you use
floor length tablecloths (not to lie on the ground;
this could cause someone to trip). Floor length cloths
create a storage space for you with showing storage
to the public.
RESTRICTED ITEMS FOR SALE
o NO weapons/firearms
o NO tobacco products
o NO toys resembling weapons/firearms
o NO bubbles or canned fun string
o NO tattoos or body piercings allowed to be given during
event
o ALL vendor items must be suitable to a family-oriented
show. We reserve the right to remove any exhibit not
complying with these rules and regulations.
NO bicycle riding, skateboard riding, or roller-skating
in the event area.
As always, we expect all participants to act in a responsible
manner. Any unruly behavior will be cause for dismissal
of vendor spot and removal from event area.
Don’t forget to sign the acceptance form &
mail it to the Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 566, Monticello
KY 42633, along with your vendor application and payment.
